Participants will gain a robust toolkit to help students successfully (and joyfully!) acquire language in the classroom as we decode the TEKS, investigate student proficiency levels, plan with backward design and leverage the lesson cycle. Participants will become familiar with the ACTFL Guiding Principles with a focus on developing skills in target language instruction.

Designed to be delivered in person. 6hrs total.

Designed to build educator skills through a deeper understanding of the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Guiding Principles for Language Learning. Participants will leave with practical ways to apply the principles in their classroom tomorrow.

Can be offered virtually or in-person. Can be broken into 1 or 1.5 hour session. 3hrs total.
